Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Azulado services, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.

2. Service Description

Azulado provides digital sovereignty intelligence through a browser extension and web platform. We analyze publicly available information about companies' infrastructure, headquarters, and ownership.

3. Data Accuracy & Nature of Analysis

Azulado sovereignty scores and company assessments are analytical opinions derived from our automated methodology and publicly available data sources. They represent our good-faith interpretation of a company's digital sovereignty profile and are protected as commentary and analysis.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information provided. Data may be derived from:

  • Publicly available corporate filings and registries
  • Automated infrastructure analysis (DNS, IP geolocation, HTTP headers)
  • Third-party data providers and APIs
  • Community contributions subject to our verification process
  • Large language model (LLM) assisted analysis and classification

Azulado scores do not constitute legal advice, compliance certification, professional audit, or official regulatory assessment. Users should conduct their own due diligence before making business, legal, or compliance decisions.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Not use the service for illegal purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape our data
  • Report inaccuracies through proper channels

5. Community Contributions

By submitting corrections or edits, you grant us a license to use that information to improve our database. Contributions go through our Verified Consensus Protocol before being accepted.

6. Intellectual Property

The Azulado name, logo, and proprietary scoring algorithms are our intellectual property. Company data in our database is compiled from public sources and community contributions.

7. Data Export & CSV Usage

Azulado may provide data export features, including CSV downloads of sovereignty scores and company data. By using these export features, you agree to the following:

  • Internal use only: Exported data is licensed solely for your internal business purposes, including internal reporting, vendor assessment, and compliance documentation.
  • No redistribution: You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly share exported data, whether in raw or processed form, without prior written consent from Azulado.
  • No derivative databases: You may not use exported data to build or augment a competing product, database, or service.
  • Attribution required: If you reference Azulado data in reports or presentations, you must attribute the data to "Azulado (azulado.eu)" and note that scores are analytical opinions, not certifications.

Violation of these terms may result in account termination and revocation of data export access.

8. Limitation of Liability

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES: Azulado services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

LIMITATION OF DAMAGES: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Azulado and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, or goodwill
  • Loss of data or business interruption
  • Reputational damage or harm to business relationships
  • Costs of procurement of substitute goods or services

This limitation applies whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

MAXIMUM LIABILITY: In any case, our total cumulative liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for Azulado services in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred euros (EUR 100).

9. Safe Harbor & Data Correction

COMPANY CORRECTION MECHANISM: Companies profiled on Azulado may request corrections to their data through our "Claim Company" feature or by contacting us directly. We provide this mechanism in good faith to ensure data accuracy.

SAFE HARBOR: By choosing not to utilize available correction mechanisms, companies acknowledge that:

  • They have had reasonable opportunity to review and correct their profile
  • Any uncorrected information reflects our good-faith analysis of available data
  • They waive claims arising from inaccuracies they could have corrected but chose not to

Correction requests are processed in accordance with our Verified Consensus Protocol and may require supporting documentation.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member state where Azulado is incorporated.
